“Electricity flows smoothly only when it is connected to the earth. Like many other ancient traditions now backed by recent discoveries in quantum physics, ancient tribes understood that we humans are energetic beings first and physical beings second. As modern humans, one of the places we are most out of balance energetically is around our lack of proper grounding. When we are grounded into something solid, our energy runs smoothly. When we are ungrounded, we experience surges and crashes of energy, burn out, and dramatic explosions. On an energetic level, humans are a lot like trees. A well-balanced tree has deep, grounded roots that go into the earth like a grounding rod. A trees roots are both its stability and its source of nutrition. The deeper and wider the roots, the more resilient and anchor the tree will be, and the more likely it is it to survive changes in the environment."

Grounding, also called earthing, is a therapeutic technique that involves doing activities that “ground” or electrically reconnect you to the earth. This practice relies on earthing science and grounding physics to explain how electrical charges from the earth can have positive effects on your body (Healthline).
How do you start?
It's simple! Take off your shoes and socks and feel the earth beneath your feet. The electrical currents and energy fields running through your body will connect with that of the earth, which can help you feel, quite literally, more "grounded." Human beings need to be in balance as individuals and aligned with their inner values in order to be the best versions of ourselves. In our world, so many competing voices pull at our attention and bombard us with hundreds of thousands of distractions. It can be overwhelming to the point that we lose our focus, our vision, our purpose. One technique you might consider implementing is grounding.
Challenge yourself!
Go outside for 15 minutes a day without shoes and socks, and stand on the earth - either dirt, sand, rock, tree roots, etc.
